Cat GroomingGrooming is stressful enough for most cats, so we never mix them with dogs. Cats have a grooming evening to themselves!
Shhhh... don't tell the puppies, but Kate is a real "cat person". Clients who have been to the Pet Project know that our "sister business," Kate's Kitty Jungle, is thought by many to be the finest "cats-only" boarding facility in the state. So it stands to reason that cats are treated like VIPs at the Pet Project as well. Cats, as all of us who are owned by one know, are just not used to doing anything that isn't their own idea. Cat appointments are in such demand that we do have to require a deposit at the time of booking and we urge you to call well ahead to book a spot for your prince or princess! Please note: We do require current vaccination status for all kitties groomed at the Pet Project and veterinary paperwork must be brought to the cat's first appointment.

For this reason, grooming is usually stressful enough for most cats without them having to be surrounded by barking dogs in a shop that grooms both together. At the Pet Project we never mix cats in with dogs. Cats have grooming evenings all to themselves. Usually on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month, kitties arrive at 5:30, long after the last canine has departed!
Then Kate and her trusty kitty helper, Judy, get to work making each cat as comfy and neat as possible. Always having a trained helper to pet, comfort and hold your cat as well as offer Kate an extra hand or two to accomplish trimming those hard-to-reach areas safely, is another reason the Pet Project has achieved a reputation for cat grooming expertise!
